Cute, right? I'm getting tired just looking at them, though.

my first t-shirt

One member of the family was especially unhappy with the sudden warm weather. In my experience, winter babies are somewhat baffled and irritated when the warm weather arrives. Nevertheless, I caught one t-shirted smile.

Bill Cosby, eat your heart out

We made chocolate pudding from scratch the other day, and let me just tell you, it's a whole different animal from that instant Jello brand stuff (not that that doesn't hit the spot every once in a while). Maybe it has something to do with the two cups of half and half involved. Anyway, Sam seemed to enjoy it.

hello friends!

Emily and Meg came to town for the weekend and stopped by for a chat and a meet and greet with Oscar. Great to see you, guys! See you in Chicago in a couple of months.

from 0 to 60 (or 33 to 85)

When Aaron walked Sam (in his swimsuit) to school yesterday morning for "beach day," it was 33 degrees outside. By this afternoon it was 85. We're not usually engaging in this sort of activity until July around here. Some spring, please?

los primos

Last weekend we had a great time in Amherst, attending Debbie's fabulous Seder and hanging out with family. Sam and Emmet had a great time together, and we were so happy that he and David and Diana and Gabe were there.

The truth is, I wouldn't know what to do with a skinny baby, and it looks like I won't have to figure it out.

proud mama

Can you see what that says? Can you read it? Abe told me he wanted to make his own place card for our seder tonight. I said sure, whatever, and then he brought me this. The remarkable thing about this, really, is that NO ONE TAUGHT HIM TO DO IT. If you're not impressed, you should be. It reminds me of when we discovered him walking in a room by himself for the first time. For all we know, he can also juggle while riding a unicycle.
